Did you know that God has a personality? God is not a monotonous ruler, who just reigns over the universe; He actually has interests. I feel that I’m robbing God of His personality, when I fail to acknowledge that He cares about things just like I do. You and I are not the only ones who have passions and interests. As a matter of fact, we are passionate beings because we inherited the ability to be passionate from God, The King of infinite passions! I mean just look at the intricate detail across His creation. He designed every thing with the utmost care and attention to subatomic detail…all the while rejoicing. God is so passionate about His creation – His creation brings Him joy. Just as an artist takes joy in her paintings and a songwriter takes joy in his songs, so does God take joy in His creation. God is The Original Artist. In fact, He created the colors for the artist to paint with and the sound waves for the songwriter to play with. The universe is His art!
Out of everything God has crafted, you are His favorite. He is most passionate about you! God didn’t just craft you into existence. No…no…He bore you. You are His offspring, made after His very image. You carry His “genes”. I find it ironic that we tend to look to the stars and mountains to grasp the glory of God, while all the while, there is nothing in all of creation that boasts the glory and beauty of God quite like we do. The universe is His art, but we are His masterpiece!
The next time you feel tempted to feel unimportant or insignificant, just think of this – you are His favorite! I plan opting out for “Hiz favorite” 😉
